Nigerians Can Now View YouTube Offline
On Friday, Google announced a series of products for Nigeria, in Google executive Sundar Pichai’s visit to the country. One of the products announced was YouTube Go, a platform where users with slow internet can preview and save videos, to watch later without an internet connection. Nigeria has about 93 million mobile Internet users, with the cost of data being expensive and at times the Internet being very slow. The move is certain to increase YouTube’s growing Nigeria base, which the platform is happy to pursue. Nigeria is the second country after India to have the YouTube Go capability.
