Daimler Shifts Gears On Hydrogen Fuel Cell In Favor Of Batteries
According to a report, Daimler is slowly turning it’s back on hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
Smart2Zero attended a recent automotive summit where Daimler’s CEO Dieter Zetsche made some hinting remarks.
The report suggests Daimler is turning towards battery-electric vehicles as a business decision, and does not suggest a lack of faith in fuel cell technology.
Instead, industrial research and development into electric vehicle batteries has steadily made progress over the last few years.
With prices getting lower and charge-capacity getting higher, electric vehicles are on the threshold of mass production.
